Roles and Responsibilities of the Committee Members

Organizing Awareness Programmes

  • Organize awareness programmes on various gender issues including legislations to influence behavior change.
  • Organize fests on the theme of gender equality and women’s empowerment and encourage students to sign up and express their support for gender justice and equality.
  • Organize exposure visits to various public service institutions at the village, city, and district level.
  • Provide necessary life skill education and guidance about needful services to fellow students.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Create an excellent understanding of socio-cultural issues.
  • Organize training programmes with experts and eminent people.

Other Responsibilities

  • Mould students to adopt all walks of life by organizing awareness programmes on social issues.
  • Motivate students to inculcate competitive skills.
  • Motivate students to groom themselves by participating in workshops, annual functions, and fests.
  • Provide necessary guidance to students for participating in different association activities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of important government schemes. Activities before starting the Academic year.
  • Identify various suitable technical events to empower students’ knowledge.
  • Mobilize community participation skills.
  • Prepare students to acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes.
  • Develop strengths to meet emergencies and natural disasters.
  • Promote national integration and social harmony.
  • Conduct various orientation programs for all NSS volunteers and provide the required skills to achieve the objective of the cell.

Role of the Coordinator

  • Ensure all necessary tasks for the day-to-day running of the activity and activities of the college are carried out.
  • Chair Committee Meetings ensuring that they are run efficiently and effectively.
  • Act as a signatory for the committee in all purposes.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for the committee when required.
  • Represent the committee and the college in matters involving the relevant Association.
  • Submit an annual report to the committee.
  • Ensure transparency in the related activities.
  • Perform any other related duty assigned by Director/Principal of the institution.

Role of the Faculty Member

  • Maintain records of the Committee and ensure effective management of committee’s records.
  • Maintain the committee membership list each year.
  • Formulate and update the yearly calendar of events under the observation of the coordinator of the committee.
  • Communicate with respective Head of the Department regarding the activities of the cell.
  • Identify students who have leadership qualities and propose their name to the coordinator as student representatives.
  • Report all the related activities to the coordinator of the committee.
  • Develop awareness of gender-related issues and help develop moral spirit among the students.
  • Student coordinator must be honest, decisive, and intelligent.
  • He should be trust-worthy to faculty.

Role of the Student Member

  • Monitor every situation and try to avoid clashes.
  • Take help from faculty members for solving sensitive problems.
  • Follow up and implement the instructions given by the Coordinator and Faculty members of the committee.
  • Collect data for each and every report under the guidance of the faculty member.

Role of the Internal Complaints Cell Assistant

  • Maintain a stock ledger of all available items and equipment related to the cell.
  • Ensure the purchase and service of any item or equipment related to the cell.
  • Maintain and upkeep the extra facilities of the college, including the theatre.
